What Dog Owners Are Saying
Product Details
A Better Chew. Made Simply.
Give your dog something they can really sink their teeth into.
Himmaleh Premium Yak Milk Dog Chews are naturally hard, long-lasting chews made with just 4 simple ingredients: yak milk, cow milk, lime juice, and salt.
Inspired by traditional Himalayan recipes, each chew is carefully prepared to create a satisfyingly firm texture that keeps dogs happily occupied while supporting their natural instinct to chew.
No rawhide. No unnecessary fillers. No artificial colors. Just a simple, satisfying chew your dog will love.
Why Dogs (and Their Humans) Love Himmaleh
Long-Lasting Chewing
Made for dogs who make regular treats disappear in minutes. The naturally firm texture provides a satisfying chewing challenge and helps keep your dog engaged for longer.
Only 4 Simple Ingredients
Nothing complicated here. Himmaleh chews are made from:
Yak Milk
Cow Milk
Lime Juice
Salt
Supports Dental Hygiene
The hard texture encourages prolonged chewing and provides natural mechanical abrasion against the teeth, helping support everyday dental hygiene as your dog chews.
Rawhide-Free
A simple alternative to traditional rawhide chews, made without rawhide components or unnecessary fillers.
Grain & Gluten Free
Made without grains or gluten, keeping the recipe refreshingly simple.
No Artificial Colors or Preservatives
No artificial dyes, colors, or preservatives. That also means less worry about colorful stains being left behind on carpets and floors.
From the Himalayas to Their Favorite Chewing Spot
Himmaleh takes inspiration from the traditional Himalayan method of creating hardened milk chews.
Milk is combined with lime juice and a small amount of salt before being transformed into a dense, naturally hard chew.
The result?
A simple, satisfying treat with a texture dogs can't resist.
Choose the Right Size
Choosing the right size helps ensure your dog gets a satisfying and comfortable chewing experience.
Small: 15–25 lbs (7–11 kg)
4 chews × approximately 20–30g each
Perfect for small dogs within the recommended weight range.
Medium : 25–50 lbs (11–23 kg)
2 chews × approximately 60–70g each
Ideal for medium-sized dogs looking for a longer-lasting chew.
Large : 50–75 lbs (23–34 kg)
1 chew × approximately 90–100g
Made for larger dogs who need a bigger, more satisfying chew.
Always supervise your dog while chewing and choose a size appropriate for their weight and chewing habits.
How to Enjoy Himmaleh
Give your dog an appropriately sized Himmaleh chew and let them enjoy it under supervision.
Because these chews are intentionally hard and long-lasting, your dog doesn't need to finish one in a single session. Take it away when needed and save it for their next chewing session.
Always provide access to fresh drinking water.
Don't Throw Away the Small Piece
When the chew becomes too small to safely hold and chew, remove it from your dog.
Rather than throwing the remaining piece away, follow the preparation instructions provided for the product to turn the leftover piece into a crunchy treat.
Allow it to cool completely before giving it back to your dog.
Grain & Gluten Free Rawhide Free No Artificial Colors No Artificial Preservatives
Made for Serious Chewers
Some dogs politely nibble their treats.
Others consider destroying them a personal challenge.
Himmaleh is for the second kind.
Its naturally dense texture means your dog has to work at it, providing a rewarding chewing experience that lasts considerably longer than many conventional treats.
Simple Ingredients. Serious Chewing.
A dog chew doesn't need a long ingredient list.
With Himmaleh, you get a naturally hard, long-lasting chew made with just four simple ingredients, and your dog gets something worth their time.
Sourced from herds grazing at 2,600 meters in the Himalayas. Naturally rich in protein and calcium the base of every chew, delivering 66% crude protein per serving.
Lime Juice
A traditional part of the recipe, working alongside Himalayan salt to help reduce tartar buildup with every chew.
Himalayan Salt
Paired with lime, it helps clean teeth naturally as your dog chews no brushing required.
Real Flavors, Same Clean Recipe
Same 3 natural ingredients at the core, with real added flavors: Blueberry, Strawberry, Mint, Mango, Pumpkin, and Coconut. Something every dog (and owner) can get excited about.

“Lasts my dog 24-48 hours!”
Our dog loves Yak chews well, all except the coconut flavour for some reason. You can tell she just won't stop chewing on them. This size usually lasts her 24-48 hours.

“Milly absolutely loves them.”
My little dog loves yak chews but had never tried this flavour before. Like other Yak chews, they leave no mess and stay dry. I can only recommend them by the fact that Milly absolutely loves them.

This is actually the second time I have bought these Yak Chews. Mylo loves them as you can see. Watch the video with the sound up to hear exactly how much he appreciates them.
He also likes when I put the end piece in the microwave and it puffs up. Now thats a different sound but he still enjoys them. I buy them because they are made from a few healthy natural ingredients and I know they are good for Mylos teeth too. I would definitely recommend them especially for dogs who chew and destroy toys in minutes. Keeps them occupied. I usually let him have one for 20 minutes at a time.
Thanks for making such a delicious (I believe they are, based on Mylo's enjoyment of them) snack.
I've taken my time before writing a review so see how my puppy got on with them.I've a small jackapoo 6 months old, chewing through everything with the exception of k.o.n.g.s although he has had a decent go of them too! These yaks are a decent chew, they last him a good month to wear down, every evening he is so obsessed.I don't know if i should have, so be careful, but a friend told me when it gets really small put it in the microwave, mine 17 seconds, and it blows up like popcorn. He finishes it off so no waste
These chews are nothing short of a lifesaver.I have a 12 week old Shih Poo puppy with teeth like needles and she has been steadily munching her way through my furniture like a termite on speed. I've posted a pic above of some drawers in my bathroom - this was after just a few short (human) trips to the loo where I thought "the dogs gone suspiciously quiet..."As you will know if you have a puppy, many chews aren't suitable for young dogs and although she likes the pedigree Tubos she finishes them in a day or so and gets bored of them too.I tried the Bella and Bounce ones from Amazon which were so expensive and lasted less than 5 minutes in her chomping waste disposal unit jaw.I'd seen these advertised but was loath to spend the money seeing as they are so dear. However, I'd seen one or two reviews compare them to the rawhide chews that I remember my dogs having as a kid (the ones they trail around the house for weeks getting steadily grottier) which was just what I was after ;-)Thankfully I wasn't disappointed. As soon as I gave one of these chews to Dolly she descended upon it joyfully and didn't look up for the next hour or so. I fully expected to find a miserable nubbin left mouldering where she had been gnawing but imagine my delight when the chew was practically the same size! She's now had it for a full week and although she's making some headway it's hardly much smaller than when I gave it her.I've included a pic of two chews next to each other for reference but in fact the chews in the pack aren't all the same size to begin with so it's not an exact science. As for me, I am hopeful that these chews will definitely reach Peak Grot as in days of yore and fulfil my nostalgic dog dreams.Tl;dr - If you have a dog that chews these are well worth the money!
My dog loves loves the taste of the yaks they keep her entertained every where we go these ones are healthier than others as they contain only a couple of ingredients some contain quite a few ..i do think there is a slight smell on the occasional one but it’s nothing that puts me off buying them or the dog from eating them…I know they are only the small size appropriate 3 in x 1 in but I think the pack itself is good value she chews them for quite a while and when she’s got to almost the the end I pop in the microwave with a little oil to stop it from burning for 2 minutes and she loves that too.. UPDATE: my frenchie did enjoy it but one this small in this size only lasted half an hour !
A pack of 2 medium Yak chewsMy dog is a huge fan of Yak chews and these purple ones have been no different. The pack states blueberry but they have no smell to them so I can't tell and I dont really want to be chewing on one to find out - but the dog really approves so that's a big winPerfect for keeping the dog occupied and can use when you're out the house to keep them busy and not chewing things they shouldn'tWould recommend
Both our dogs seemed to know exactly what these were before I even got them out of the packet. They came running in the living room as soon as they heard the packet. They both got one each, and soon sprinted to their opposite sides of the garden, which kept them occupied and happy for a decent while. They must have tasted nice as they both seemed to enjoy them. They are a decent size, neutral smell to humans. They were a bit expensive thou working out at around £5 each as a pack of 2, but they did seem good quality. And if you have guests round it's a good way to keep them both occupied. They are quite solid so not something they can eat quickly in one go. If your willing to pay a bit more for these treats then I'd recommend them.
My dog dug into these as soon as I opened the bag. They are sized almost like large yak chew . The blueberry smell is not evident but my dog absolutely loves it . Himmaleh always providing real yak milk chews and the only brand I trust .
Dog likes them, made quite a mess as he's not one for clearing up small bits and they didnt really last long as he is an aggressive chewer but I dont really want him chomping away on larger ones! What I'm a bit confused about is the blueberry flavour - they are certainly darker like they have blueberries in them but it doesnt mention them in the ingredients just yak & cow milk, lime juice & salt so are there blueberries in them or just a flavouring added. To me salt seems a strange thing to add to a dog treat but apparently a small amount helps to harden them. Dog doesnt seem to have a preference - just make with the treat!
Happy with these chews pack of 2The only reason it got 4 stars was because it advertised as blueberry but ingredients do not say thatDog enjoy it which is the main thing and they last a long time
The dog really loves these - I think possibly more than the cheese flavours as they don't last quite as long as he chews them more. He really loves picking and eating wild blackberries so I guess this flavour is similar to him! That said, they still are great value as really keep him busy for hours and are a nice natural and low fat treat that also helps keep teeth clean.Happy dog, happy owner!
These are amazing value, my dachshund git through hers before I managed to whip it off her and piffle up, I annoyingly fir got to take a photo of the magic but the dogs like them even better after they've been popped. My Frenchie wasn't as keen in the blueberry flavour, he prefers the original but the Daschy loved it she basically ate both of them!
Our dog loves Yak chews, well all except the coconut flavour for some reason. She loves these Blueberry ones as much as any others, you can tell as she just won't stop chewing on them. This size Yak chew usually lasts her 24 – 48 hours. The pictures with this review are what was left after 30 minutes (the chew is by her foot!)Once any Yak chew gets down to a small size pop it in the microwave for around 30-45 seconds and it will pop up nice and crispy for a different type of chew/crunch and helps your dog avoid choking on the last piece of chew.I have given this only 4 stars just because of the longevity, or lack of.In summary, great chews but no where near as long lasting as others we have had
Both the Lab and the Cocker were very pleased to receive these chews! They are obviously very palatable. The Lab asked to take his outside so that he could chew it in peace and he spent a very quiet hour by himself. The Cocker sat with us and chewed his. The Lab is a very heavy and powerful chewer and when he asked to come in it was without the chew and I couldn't find it so I can only assume that he's finished it, which was a surprise as they are very hardy chews and in the same time the Cocker had barely dented his (see pics) and I really hope that he hasn't swallowed it half eaten (which would be out of character).Anyway, I recommend supervised chewing if your dog is a powerful chewer, but actually I think these should normally last a long time for most dogs.
Our dog loves these.
Great quality yak chews,
They last about a week, the medium size are a decent size and are quite thick.
They don’t have a strong strawberry smell but don’t smell unpleasant either.
Good value for money.

These are very dense, tough chews somehow made from milk. Too thick for my dog, but they have instructions for microwaving on the packet. A minute in the microwave and they puff up like you can see in my picture. Th one on the plate is microwaved, the other is out of the packet. It seems to boil up with air bubbles like a cheesy cinder toffee. After 5 minutes cooling, my dog crunched right into it and seems to really enjoy the taste & unusual texture. I'll definitely be getting more.
I haven't seen these particular chews before so wanted my dog to try them.
They are a hit, he's had one so far and was straight away off with it, happy, relaxed and chewing away.
When he wasn't chewing, he took it everywhere with him, probably so I wouldn't throw the remainder away.
It does last for ages.
In the photos I have shown a chewed one on the bag, and out next to a new untouched one, so you can see that they take ages to wear down.
Then I reread the packet and saw that this chew can be heated to transform it into a cheesy puff.
I love this concept, as you can ensure that every bit gets used up.
Great product that I will repurchase.
The chew photographed has been chewed on and off for a week now and there's still loads left. They're excellent value, and a great clean and non smelly option - some of the chews I give can be a little too whiffy if you have guests, but no problem with these ones. They're a nice health option that gives the dogs a work out chewing, which I love as they really enjoy it and it's a nice calming activity for them. A great option, and I like having the different flavour option for them.
My dog has piranha teeth , most yak chews don't last even 30 minutes. I bought these on a discount and so far it's been 2 days he's gone through 20 % of it. High recommended as they keep him busy for hours on end. As you can see he is excited to get his Himmaleh strawberry yak chews.
Very unusual chews, they are very hard and I would imagine will last a long time, so hard in fact I’m just a little bit concerned about my dog’s teeth. I’m sure they must be okay though, with all natural ingredients my dog does seem to love them. She is breaking small pieces off which I then throw away but she’s been good with it so far, they do seem a little expensive, but then they will last a long time, so we are both pleased with them so far. If your dogs a hard chewer I would recommend you try these.
My little dog loves yak chews but has never tried this flavour before. You can see from the photos she loved it, she’s had similar chews so often that she knows just how to hold them in her paws.
These are pink instead of the usual brown, I can’t detect any strawberry smell or any smell at all to be honest. Like other Yak chews they leave no mess and stay dry.
I’m not tasting it myself so can only recommend them by the fact that Milly absolutely loves them.
These make a change from the usual colour ones. I don't know if they taste of strawberry because the dog isn't talking at the moment he's too busy with a mouth full of yak chew and I'm not going to taste it myself so I'll just have to believe it. It doesn't smell of strawberry I do know that much.
However, I really don't think pooch is in the least bit bothered because yak chews are his favourite whatever the flavour and these are a good size so will keep him busy for days. He's really going at it now, he's ignoring me and turned his back on me, in other words he's saying... It's his and he's not sharing. It's clearly a winner
They're quite thick and although these yak chews aren't cheap they do work out good value in my opinion because he gets so much pleasure out of them and they last so long.
What I personally like about these ones is they don't contain preservatives, grain or gluten. Definitely a thumbs up from me and a paw up from him... Oh he's enjoying that chew.
These are a great way to entertain your dogs - they last for ages and are good for keeping their teeth clean.
I have used regular yak chews before but these are the first time I have tried strawberry ones and the dogs loved them.
These are about 4 inches long and roughly 1 inch cubed - they can each last a week or more!!
Great for active chewers!
My dog loves Himmaleh yak chews, especially once he's gnawed it down to the final few inches and we pop it in the microwave to become a puff. As a strawberry fan, he really loved this new strawberry version. Generally, they're such great treats - strong enough that he doesn't get through it in seconds but not too strong that he grows bored. They've become a staple in our house!
My dog is absolutely obsessed with his Himmaleh yak chews . He chews on it for some time , then goes and hides it. These yakers long longer than most yak chews I've tried on everyware , consistent quality too which is perfect ??
My dog Hugo absolutely loves these new Himmaleh strawberry-flavored yak chews! They are nutrient-packed, all-natural, and long-lasting. Hugo can't get enough of the irresistible strawberry flavor, and the yak milk base is great for his teeth and digestion. Perfect for keeping him entertained and healthy! Highly recommended!
Poacher the pup loves chewing on this it’s safe hygienic and funThey last a long time so worth the moneyRecommended for those little pup teeth and adult teeth alike
Highly impressed with these Yak Chews! Great value as they have two individual treats in a resealable packet. Both of my dogs absolutely love these yaks and both are different chewers, for those that aren’t such strong chewers you can pop the yak in the microwave for 60 secs and then leave to cool for 5 mins before giving to your dog. The yak chews are a generous size bigger than previous yak chews I’ve purchased for them. Great long lasting chews I remove the chew after they have had a chew although one dog always tries to hide the yak after a chewing session, they both light up with excitement when I give them the chew again. The yak definitely keeps them occupied for a substantial amount of time. I would highly recommend this fantastic product!
I ordered this selection of blueberry, strawberry and cranberry Yak chews for my dogs to try, they love Yak chews, but hadn't yet tried this brand, or these flavours. They are good sized chews despite being listed as medium, and therefore should be quite long lasting. The pack is resealable and informative, giving instructions how to recharge the end pieces, as well as giving a best before date, which is 15 months away. The dogs were extremely impressed with the chews, and have had several chewing sessions, with the remaining pieces still being large enough to leave with them, so even for power chewers they entertain for a long time.Overall its a really nice selection, the dogs don't appear to prefer one flavour over the other, but have enjoyed them all, I'm very pleased with them, they are really good value in my opinion, and I'm happy to recommend them.
Great long lasting yak chew for dogs !!Arrived in a nice pack of 3 , large yak chews. Roughly 100g each , so 300g in total . These are the longest lasting yak dog chews I've tried till date and better than other cheap brands on Amazon. Will buy again . Dog is happy and occupied
